Presence of two witnesses
Two witnesses must attend the ceremony in order to attest to the exchange of consents, as well as to sign the Declaration of Marriage (DEC−50) or Declaration of Civil Union (DEC−55) form, as the case may.
Who can act as a witness?
The witness must be able to understand his or her role. If that is the case, the witness can even be under 18 years of age.
