Accessibility policy

The Directeur de l’état civil is subject to the gouvernement du Québec's three Web accessibility standards adopted on May 10, 2011:

  • standard sur l’accessibilité d’un site Web (standard governing accessibility of a website) (SGQRI 008-01);
  • standard sur l’accessibilité d’un document téléchargeable (standard governing accessibility of a downloadable document) (SGQRI 008-02);

(PDF 142 Ko) (in French only).

The Directeur de l'état civil seeks to put in place all the conditions required so that the content of its website complies with these standards. The blind who use a screen reader associated with a Braille synthesizer or a speech synthesizer can read the pages of its website, and people who cannot use a mouse, or have reduced mobility or a loss of autonomy can easily consult the website.

Some content has been made consistent with the standards, but work remains to be done, particularly in regard to downloadable documents and online services.
