After the solemnization of your marriage or civil union, you and your spouse are bound to each other in a matrimonial regime or civil union regime, which establishes, among other things, the rules according to which your property will be administered.
A marriage contract is a legal act signed before a notary, in which you and your spouse state in writing certain decisions regarding, among other things, your choice of matrimonial regime.
You can enter into a marriage contract before or after the solemnization.
